[vdr] Re: two VDR boxes

No. If a restart happens while recording, VDR notices that the recording is already present, and just appends a new video segment to continue recording. Thats why two machines recording to the same folder interleave their video: One recording goes to 001.vdr, 003.vdr, 005.vdr, the other to 002.vdr, 004.vdr, etc.

If VDR finds a recording folder matching the current one, it would have to check whether this recording is still running by some other VDR, or if its from a previous crash and needs to be continued. Thats difficult to decide.

Cheers,

Udo
