[vdr] Re: AC3overDVB patch for vdr-1.3.13?

The packaging is a fork of 1.2.6-3.1, with bits taken from -4 and -5 (which
is currently in sarge). One big difference is that my runvdr is written in
C...

Close - they're automatically removed as part of the debian/rules 'clean'
target, which is automatically run at the start of the build process.

This is true.

The sources for my last 1.3.12 build (1.3.12-6) is still downloadable from
this directory:
  <URL:http://zap.tartarus.org/~ds/debian/dists/sarge/main/source/misc/>
The patches are in vdr_1.3.12-6.ds.diff.gz.

WRT 1.3.13:

Those using enAIO/easyinput might like to look at 04_input_alpha and the
corresponing input-stripped enAIO (opt-20_enAIO-1.4).

05_not_as_root is probably only really for the paranoid ;-)

06_no_nptl should be of use - you need not worry about NPTL since if it's
enabled, vdr will set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.21 and re-exec itself.

08_reload is intended to allow vdr to exit(3) on SIGUSR1 (for runvdr to
restart it _without_ reloading modules) but I'm not certain that I'm properly
checking for all possible activity. Klaus?
