[vdr] Re: Can't control sound with mplayer plugin [SOLVED]

Hello Michael,

Well i had to keep "alsa" as some files have AC3 sound.

The workaround i found is to use mplayer Software Volume Control available through
the plugins.

It can also be used if one wants to change the output volume of mplayer
without changing the PCM volume setting in the mixer [1]

**warning** This feature is deprecated and is said to be removed anytime soon **warning**

So in order to control the "mplayer volume", you can simply :

1) add "-aop list=volume:volume=101" to the mplayer.sh.conf so it is taken into account
2) add "aop=list=volume:volume=101" (yes the syntax is different but it's correct) to /etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf
   or ~/.mplayer/mplayer.conf

101 is the default and means 0dB amplification

Thanks,

Philippe
