[linux-dvb] Re: Stock Linux kernel readyness?

Thanks Stefan.

I've now switched to 2.6.10rc2 with the dvb-kernel links. This compiles
and runs OK but I get no data, even after a reboot.

It does not compile if I include the All-2.6.10-rc2.diff from
dl.bytesex.org. Patches or dvb-kernel maybe, not both?

I have to link the /dev/dvb/adaptor0/* to the /dev/dvb.*0 devices since
the files made by the makenod.sh script have different major/minor's. I
would like to change the code to look for the /dev/dvb.*0 devices - anyone
have a patch?

The tzap gets a lock...

# ./tzap BBC-1
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 578000000 Hz
video pid 0x0258, audio pid 0x0259
status 0d | signal 3131 | snr 8181 | ber 00000c7f | unc 00000006 |
status 1f | signal 3131 | snr c8c8 | ber 00000919 | unc 0000000e |
FE_HAS_LOCK

but trying mythtv, mplayer or xine and none of them receive any data.

Was there anything else you have to do to receive data, other than reboot?

Thanks again,
Tim.
