[vdr] SV: Re: SV: ca.conf

ok but that doesn't work for me :(
could someone please explain the nitty gritty bits of this or point me out
to the relevant part of teh source?

how would a viaccess entry look like?
who sets the numbering plan of the ca.conf entrys?

i tried to enter a new line with something like 201 Viaccess and put the
corresponding value in the prpoer column of channels.conf but all i get is
an "Could not start Transfer mode" error message in my log.

Hi,

my ca.conf looks like this ( i think it is the default):
--------snip---------------
# Conditional Access configuration for VDR
#
# Format:
#
# number description
#
# Please contact kls@cadsoft.de before assigning a new number
# to a description, in order to keep them unique.

0 Free To Air

# BetaCrypt

101 Premiere World
102 ORF

# Cryptoworks

201 GOD-DIGITAL

# Special values to "hard code" a channel to a specific DVB card:

1 DVB 1
2 DVB 2
3 DVB 3
4 DVB 4
---------snap-------------

of course you can alter it as you need

then go to the channels menue and select a cryptetd channel, under ca
select your crypto system.

Cu Ulrich

PS: yes it should be really obvious if you read the docs ;-)
