I'm using a Celeron with 1GHz with Alpha headsink PEP66 but without
any fan but only with an air tunnel which chanalize the air flow of
the PSU fan to be taken over the headsink. The former headsink from
Verax with its Verax special fan has shown a higher temperature degree
on long time ranges (about 2-3 °C).

The fan of the PSU is a very strong (more than 65CFM at 12V) but the PSU
does the voltage controlling (messured 7V) depending on the temperature
which leads to a very silent fan ... but with enough power if required.

The HD is a silent model of Matrox (which a really cold one) and is
encapsulated with a SilentDrive[tm] enclosure. To ensure that the air
pressure isn't to high for a stable air current the desktop case has
got some perforation on the side of the DVB card slot. The DVB card has
got a few headsinks: for the ARM, the SAA7146, and on the metal sheet of
the tuner. Between the metal tongue on top of the tuners chip and the chip
its self there is a small portion of thermal grease.

In fact: I hear that I hear nothing ;^)

IMHO: to do this with a P4 or an AMD CPU a big headsink with heatpipe as
fins together with the appropiate air tunnel between the PSU air takein
and the headsink could be used.
