Are you talking about mini DiSEqC aka tone burst? 
Plain vdr 1.0.4 does not support this. (I posted a patch some time ago.)
Nevertheless, full DiSEqC should work.

Did you set the DiSEqC parameter for Sirius channels to '1' 
(-> channel setup)?
