Well, it's not all shared libraries, it is only C++ libraries, and these are 
quite rare. libc is C, of course, as are all the other fundamental libraries.
Only Qt/KDE gave me a headache when changing the compiler. Recompiling VDR and 
its plugins isn't too much work in the end.
