Is done, but with the method from the mplayer docs ("mplayer dvb://") it did not work, complaining about a missing DVB CONFIGURATION... No idea, how that method is expected to work (and no time to look further into it).
that message means that you didn't copy channels.conf in ~/.mplayer, or that the file doesn't contain
correct informations
Hm, how strange. In the mplayer docs it is mentioned, that that channels.conf should be in szap format, and that's what I let szap search a few transponders for testing for. And that channels.conf was placed in the right place, nevertheless it did not work.

did you read the diseqc exception clause? in mplayer's diseqc = szap's diseqc+1. Can you please post me a log of mplayer -v dvb:// ?
