Hi,
I don't know the history, but I think Klaus should be the one who
commit "Klaus's changes" into the CVS, shouldn't he?
I totally agree with you. If Klaus doesn't want to maintain a publicly accessable CVS it should be his right as the project owner to not do so (or do so). It isn't fair for someone else to do this unless they legitimately fork the project and use a different name.

Having said that, I think CVS is an extremely important development tool and it would bennefit this project a great deal to maintain a CVS repository maintained by a small group of developers lead by the VDR project leader, Klaus. Sourceforge is an exelent service but Klaus may have the means to host CVS himself. He also might not care, but I think that decision is up to him.
