I was using a stripped channles.conf.cable from the vdr example files 
and the last 3 fields were "0".

Now I tried with a different "single channel" and this seems to be much 
better: Names are changed and additional channels (on the same 
transponder) added.

My first try was with "Das Erste" and the second with "ZDF", here the 
console output with the applied NIT patch from both scnearios:
