It's a patch for vdr. It's similar to the classic skin. I think it's
technically possible to implement dithering in the osd itself, but don't
know that code to well to try.

Yes, since it needs a patched Xv (which I use) driver, or DirectFB,
which I cannot get to work properly with my radeon, or vidix, which
gives me tearing on my radeon...
