I just read the change history from the dvb driver at http://www.linuxdvb.tv/download/ChangeLog
and there is written:

2003-10-31 14:14 js * driver/dvb_demux.c: fix rare crash on invalid packets, patch by Asier Aguirre and Steffen Beyer

Maybe this solves the UPT error ?
