or use a file as ringbuffer, this is how the mythtv people are IMHO
doing it. in theory the zapping latency doesn't increase in a setup like
this: on zapping you erase nothing, you don't have to fill something
before playing, you just "append" to the ringbuffer and play the stream
in parallel. this was theory...
i don't have practical experiences with a setup like this, so maybe it
isn't so easy...
