Tell that to my parents and my brother :)

I generally choose Windows on the desktop because it 'just works' - no 
pissing about with package dependencies, etc. - I'm not going to the 
Win/Lin debate...

Yes, but I am referring to other users on the network who want a full 
everyday PC that they can 'dip into' TV showing on their monitor.

What I'm really getting as is 'freedom of choice' - it is just as wrong
to exclude Windows because "it's crap" as it is for manufacturers to 
exclude Linux from their drivers because "it's non-standard".
