No, it scans only in a frequency range specified as LNB_DRIFT. This is 
for now hardcoded in dvb_frontend.c, when we get bug reports that the 
drift value is not sufficient we will increase it or have to think about 
a more clever zigzag-scan range calculation depending on the used 
modulation.
